Challenge #131 - Seashells, sea or beach

Hi everyone, Karrie here, I'm up again and I have chosen "Seashells" for this challenge.
They're beautiful, a iconic image of summer,  and sure to remind everyone of good times at the shore.
It can be actual seashells added to your project, original artwork, patterned paper... or if you don't have any,  anything of the sea or beach will do.

We are incredibly lucky for this challenge to have guest designer, Maja Rijkers, joining us! Here is a little bit about her:

"Hello my name is Maja Rijkers.
I live in the Netherlands, in a town called Breda, together with my partner Jack, two dogs and two cats.
I have two grownup children who already live on their own.
I'm creative all my life, but I started scrapbooking in 2004 when I bought a scrapbook magazine at the local store.
I fell in love with it and haven't stop since! I also love to art journal and occasionally I make a card.
I'm so happy to be a guest designer here on the blog. Thanks for having me!"

And here is Maja's gorgeous project:

"This challenge is right in my alley, because it was so hot in the Netherlands the past few weeks that I really longed for the beach. So I made an art journal page about it.

The background is a blurry photo transfer of a pier by the sea with a little beach full of shells.
I cut some things out of a magazine and stamped an image.Than I collaged everything on my page.
To get an old weathered look I used some vintage photo distressink, black watercolor pencil and matte gel lmedium.
Than I dry brushed everything with gesso.

I hope you like my take of this challenge!"

Be sure to visit Maja and give her some love! We are so happy to have had her design with us.

Here is how the rest of us Paper Girls have interpretted the challenge:

I used actual shells on a wedding picture frame for my friend, who loves the ocean as much as I do.

and the other talented PaperGirls used them:

Erica
I stamped and embossed some seashells to embellish a scrapbook page.

I used tiny seashells we found on the beach to embellish this two-page layout about our trip to the Oregon coast for our anniversary.

Don't forget to come back and see if you won! Even if you are unable to guest design, we want to be sure you are in the prize drawing, for a $30 GC ! We have several winners who haven't responded.

And now...Congratulations to the winner of Challenge #130
